Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: London, Westminster Work Type: Full-Time, On-Site Hours: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri with some weekends (overtime), On-call rota – 1 night per week Salary: £39,500 + Overtime Headquarters to the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street is an historic Grade II listed conference, event and wedding venue located in the centre of Westminster. It offers 21 function rooms including the stunning Great Hall for up to 400 people and two fully-equipped lecture theatres. We are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to help maintain our exceptional venue and ensure a safe, functional environment for our staff, clients, and visitors. Responsibilities: • Carrying out first-line repairs and maintenance of electrical equipment, • Inspecting and testing systems (e.g. emergency lighting, PAT, lighting protection), • Monitoring and optimising the Building Management System (BMS), • Liaising with contractors and supporting the Maintenance Supervisor, • Ensuring value for money when sourcing parts and consumables, • Participating in team meetings and on-call duties Skills and Experience: • Experience in electrical installation and general building maintenance, • Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to access roof levels and voids, • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and BMS systems Qualifications: • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical discipline (essential), • City & Guilds Level 1 & 2 in electrical installation (essential) ICE Group Benefits: • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, • Shutdown over Christmas period, • Uniform, tools and health and safety equipment supplied, • Annual £100 allowance towards your well-being, • Meal and a drink provided at lunchtime and when on a late function cover from our on-site Café bar, • Up to eight per cent of salary contributed to a personal pension scheme, • 24-hour employee support line, • Death in service benefit equivalent to one year’s salary, • Interest free season ticket loan, • Cycle to work scheme, • Big Gym membership savings with the Gymflex scheme, • Your Rewards discount scheme ICE Group is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
