Company Description Founded in 2019, Western Avenue Veterinary Centre is an independent clinic delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Based in Chester, we’re committed to supporting pets and their owners with expert, personalised services and a warm, community-focused approach. As an entirely independent practice, we have developed a strong focus on client satisfaction. We aim to foster strong bonds with our clients by offering longer 30-minute consultation times, as well as support and opportunities within the community. We provide our team members with the opportunity to see cases from start to finish and enjoy a degree of clinical freedom that only an independent practice can offer. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Surgeon specializing in small animals, based in Chester. The role involves performing medical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and providing routine preventative care for small animals. Additional responsibilities include evaluating laboratory results, ensuring animal welfare, and providing compassionate guidance to pet owners regarding treatment plans. Collaboration with the veterinary team to ensure high-quality patient care is an essential aspect of this role. Qualifications • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in veterinary surgery and veterinary medicine, • Proficiency in small animal (pet) care and a strong understanding of animal welfare, • Proven expertise in applying laboratory skills and interpreting diagnostic results, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client consultations and team collaboration, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving cases, • Veterinary degree and relevant licensure (RCVS membership) to practice in the UK
