Practice Nurse GP Practice (Leeds) Start date: March 2026 (flexible) Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience) A friendly GP practice in Leeds is looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our primary care team. Youll work closely with GPs and the wider clinical team to deliver high-quality nursing care and support improved outcomes for our patients. The role Youll provide a broad range of clinical nursing services, including: • Chronic disease management (e.g., Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, CHD, Hypertension), • Womens health: contraception advice, sexual health and screening guidance, menopause support, and cervical cytology, • Wound care and dressings, leg ulcers, Doppler assessments, and suture removal, • ECGs, venepuncture, and relevant health checks, • Travel clinic services, • Routine and childhood immunisations, • Chaperoning and supporting clinicians during examinations when required, • Assisting with minor surgery and coil fittings, • Requesting and handling appropriate tests (e.g., swabs, urine cultures) in line with protocols, • Maintaining clinical rooms and stock (including vaccine ordering and cold chain support), • Accurate clinical record-keeping, escalating concerns, and supporting safe systems of work, • Attending nurse/practice meetings and contributing to service improvement, • Occasional home visits may be required Clinical governance and safety • Supporting clinical audit and monitoring standards of care, • Working in line with infection prevention and control policies, • Maintaining competence in basic life support (BLS) and anaphylaxis management About you • NMC registered nurse, • Confident working in a primary care setting and able to manage a varied workload, • Committed to professional development and maintaining a portfolio, • Comfortable following practice protocols and escalating appropriately, • Reliable, organised, and patient-focused, with excellent communication skills How to apply Apply via LinkedIn with your CV and a short note outlining your primary care experience and the clinical areas youre most confident in.
