Job Description: Conveyancing Assistant Location: Birkenhead Firm: High Street Firm Salary: Junior - Senior Salary range A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Conveyancing department at its office in Birkenhead. The successful candidate will support experienced conveyancers with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions, ensuring matters progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. This role offers the opportunity to develop within a supportive legal environment, with clear progression opportunities within residential conveyancing. Key Responsibilities: • Opening and setting up new client files on the case management system, • Preparing and issuing contract packs for sale transactions, • Ordering searches, Land Registry documents and redemption statements, • Assisting with and responding to pre-contract enquiries, • Reviewing search results, mortgage offers, Source of Funds and Stamp Duty documentation, • Preparing contract documentation for clients to sign on purchase transactions, • Preparing completion statements and completion packs, • Coordinating exchange of contracts and completion for sale and purchase transactions, • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors, providing updates and assisting with queries, • Supporting conveyancers with file management, title checks and progressing matters from instruction through to completion Experience: • Knowledge of the Conveyancing process, • Excellent communication skills., • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently., • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
