As a Compliance Officer, you will be expected to: Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across residential, commercial and high-rise properties, including Gas, Fire, Asbestos, Legionella, Electrical and Lifting Equipment safety. Support the Building Safety & Compliance Manager in maintaining legal compliance, risk management frameworks and responding to legislative changes. Coordinate inspections, assessments, servicing, testing, repairs, remedial works and refurbishment programmes. Manage compliance budgets, expenditure and risk, ensuring value for money, efficiency and effective cost control. Oversee contractors, consultants and service providers to ensure quality, compliance and timely service delivery. Maintain accurate, audit-ready compliance records, databases and asset systems, producing reports, analysing data and monitoring KPI performance. Manage stakeholder relationships, compliance reporting, complaints, appeals, consultations and customer satisfaction activities. Line manage and develop the Compliance Coordinator, supporting training, performance management and professional development. Monitor, audit and continuously improve compliance processes, commercial property assets and service delivery arrangements. Support business objectives through performance reporting, best practice, incident response (including out-of-hours support), and by promoting CIH standards, equality, diversity and health & safety compliance. To be successful in a Compliance Officer role, the skills you will need: Proven experience managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and specialist mechanical and electrical compliance across residential and commercial property portfolios. Strong knowledge of social housing compliance, including relevant legislation, Building Regulations, British Standards, industry guidance and risk management practices. Experience coordinating inspections, assessments, servicing and insurance compliance activities across a range of assets, plant and equipment. Skilled in managing contractors, consultants and service providers, building effective partnerships and driving performance against demanding targets. Experience managing budgets, expenditure and cost analysis, identifying value for money and continuous improvement opportunities. Proficient in compliance and asset management systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms. Strong analytical, reporting, audit and communication skills, with the ability to manage risk, engage stakeholders at all levels and communicate effectively via multiple channels. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities, responding to emergencies, supporting team development and demonstrating The Sovini Group values: Success, Passion, Authenticity, Courage and Enterprise. Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential: A relevant compliance, health & safety or building management qualification or equivalent, or currently working towards this. Working in multi-disciplinary teams to ensure all compliance programmes and control schemes are delivered within target and in line with statutory and good practice guidelines. Developing and implementing continuous improvement across your areas of responsibility. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business user car insurance.
