Gap Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established, privately owned engineering business based in Oldbury, West Midlands. Due to significant business growth and organisational restructuring, we are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager (Multi-Skilled) to strengthen the maintenance and engineering function across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with people and project management, supporting both reactive and planned maintenance while driving continuous improvement. Duties and responsibilities as a Maintenance Manager: • Lead and manage all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across two sites, • Plan, manage and improve the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule, • Fault find and repair pumps, motors, impellors, pneumatics and fluid systems, • Project manage engineering and maintenance improvement projects, • Report against monthly engineering objectives and KPIs, • Ensure machinery uptime, reliability and compliance with operational requirements, • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring full Health & Safety compliance, • Support out-of-hours call-outs and provide shift cover when required Key skills and qualifications required as a Maintenance Manager: Technical / Engineering Skills • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background, • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, • Experience fault-finding on pumps, motors and fluid systems, • Understanding of pneumatics and fluid logic, • Automotive manufacturing background (preferred), • Wet paint or coatings experience (preferred), • Proven experience managing maintenance or engineering teams, • Strong project management capability, • Experience using Excel-based PM systems, • Good PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment 📩 Apply now through Gap Personnel to discuss this opportunity in confidence.
