Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Location: North London Contract Type: 6-month contract Hours: Part-time or Full-time available Salary: Competitive rate of pay About the Role CAMHS Professionals is recruiting for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a mental health service in North London. Our client is seeking an experienced therapist to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Essential Requirements • HCPC registration (current and valid), • Previous mental health experience, • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice • Manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches, • Conduct comprehensive assessments using specialist tools including MOHO assessments, • Plan and deliver individual and group therapy interventions, • Consider both physical and mental health needs in all assessments, • Work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, • Participate in care planning and clinical decision-making, • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and partner agencies, • Contribute to service planning, development, and evaluation, • Participate in audit projects and research activities, • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance, • Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards, • Prepare specialist reports and risk assessments, • Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed, • Comply with COT Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct What We Offer • Supportive working environment with regular supervision from the Clinical Director, • Opportunities for continuing professional development, • Collaborative multidisciplinary team culture, • Flexible working options (part-time or full-time), • Competitive remuneration package About You You'll be a registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrated experience in mental health settings. My client is an established non-bank lender who provides complex, short term lending. Responsibilities • To underwrite and assess fully packaged loan applications in line with current risk appetite and criteria, • Make an initial call to the introducer upon receipt of the fully packaged loan application to confirm understanding of the deal, concerns etc., • Add notes to Loan Origination System to ensure that case managers can understand what items remain outstanding and to ensure that all relevant case tasks have been actioned. Ensure all data fields are correctly updated, • Issue Underwriting Shopping List/ decline cases which are outside of policy/appetite, • Review post received, • Review valuations/AM/QS reports (liaising with Servicing for Refurbishment loans), • Liaising with brokers and solicitors, ensuring queries are resolved, • Deal with third party phone calls which cannot be dealt with by the case managers, due to complexity, • Create a credit paper and ensure that this is always up to date, • Approve applications within mandate and prepare for EC/approval by senior mandate holder/funder where necessary, • Resolve 2nd Signatory/EC requirements prior to offer, • Issue of Mortgage Offers, • Ensure all matters are dealt with in line with business SLA., • Deal with post offer legal queries, • Review COT/ROT, • Review of legal documents, • Facilitate completion, • Act in a professional manner in all dealings internally and externally, • Support the Company’s objectives in a positive manner What you will Bring: • Minimum of 3 years of complex underwriting experience (ideally 5 years+), • In depth knowledge of MCOB and all other relevant regulatory obligations, • Excellent understanding of loan process, • Experienced in communicating with brokers and customers, • Exceptional attention to detail, • Experience of working in a SME business, • Strong oral and written communication skills Salary: dependant on experience Location: London (hybrid working)
