Retail Business Development Manager About Hello Klean Hello Klean is an indie beauty brand based in London, developing beauty solutions for hard water. We've sold over 500,000 products and were featured on BBC Dragons' Den in 2023. We're on track to becoming a £100m global beauty brand. The Opportunity We're hiring our first Retail Business Development Manager to scale Hello Klean's retail presence globally. This is a rare opportunity to build and own our retail channel from the ground up. You'll be responsible for taking us from a handful of retail partners to 500+ doors across the UK, EU, Middle East, and North America within the next two years. We're already stocked in Sephora, Selfridges, Cult Beauty, and Ounass. Your job is to accelerate that momentum—opening new accounts, expanding into new territories, and turning retail into a significant revenue driver for the business. Who You Are • A Hunter — You're energised by prospecting, pitching, and closing new accounts, • Commercially Minded — You understand retail economics, margin structures, and what makes a partnership profitable, • Relationship Builder — You know how to get meetings, build trust, and negotiate terms, • Self-Starter — You thrive with autonomy and can build processes from scratch What You'll Do New Business Development • Identify, pitch, and close new retail partnerships across key markets (UK, EU, Middle East, North America), • Build and manage a pipeline of target accounts across department stores, specialty beauty retailers, and pharmacies, • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms, and launch commitments, • Develop and execute the retail expansion roadmap aligned with company growth targets, • Analyse market opportunities to prioritise high-potential retailers and regions, • Coordinate launches with new partners, including documentation, training materials, and visual merchandising, • Collaborate with marketing on retail-specific campaigns and in-store activations, • 3-5 years in retail sales, business development, or key accounts—ideally in beauty or consumer goods, • Proven track record of winning new retail accounts, • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to pitch to senior buyers, • The chance to build a retail channel at a high-growth brand with real momentum, • Direct impact on company trajectory—retail is a key pillar of our growth strategy, • Competitive salary plus performance-based commission, • A collaborative, ambitious team environment, • Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week at our London Shoreditch office
