Together, these sites welcome 280,000 visitors annually, promoting the cultural legacy of Mackintosh and engaging visitors with the life and works of two of Scotland's most influential artists'. The Mackintosh Illuminated Project will bring together these two properties in a joint engagement, communications and marketing and outreach programme to spotlight the design duo, sharing, celebrating and inspiring as many as possible with their creative genius and the beauty of their creations and create the foundation for a reappraisal of how Mackintosh and Macdonald are perceived and appreciated locally and internationally. The post-holder will lead the development of digital products to support the engagement with Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald themes online as part of the Trusts brand, marketing, communications, interpretation and audience strategies.The postholder will collaborate with stakeholders across Trust, supporting both the projects priorities and national organisational objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development of digital products that support the Mackintosh Illuminated Project and meet the vision for more people in Scotland and around the world to know, celebrate and be inspired by this creative genius. Oversee the implementation of a user-led approach to these digital developments, aligned with the projects priority audiences. These include areas such as curatorial, digital interpretation, learning and collections management colleagues. The post holder will need to stay on top of developments in these areas to inform digital products and content opportunities. Ensure that wider marketing and comms campaigns for the Mackintosh Illuminated project are compliant with the Trusts tone of voice, brand and technical standards and aligned with its marketing and communications and interpretation strategies. Facilitate collaboration with the wider Trust digital team and relevant business stakeholders, involving them as appropriate at key points during the Mackintosh Illuminated digital product development. Manage the budget designated for development of the Mackintosh Illuminated digital products, ensuring it is spent efficiently and delivers maximum impact against the project goals.You will also be responsible for reporting on progress against plan to the Mackintosh Illuminated Project Team. JOB DESCRIPTION Aerospace MRO & Landing Gear Manufacturing Job Title: CNC Setter Operator Job Band: B2 Department: Bush Manufacturing Shift Pattern: Nights - Sunday to Thursday (22:00-06:00) Location: Hayes Reporting To: Production Manager About the Role The CNC Setter Operator is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of numerical control (CNC) machines used to cut, shape, and finish metal workpieces in accordance with aerospace and aircraft landing gear component specifications. This position supports Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities by ensuring high precision, traceability, and compliance with aviation regulatory and quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities ⦁ Set up and operate CNC machines for production by inspecting parts, identifying malfunctions, troubleshooting issues when necessary, and reporting required repairs. Perform basic CNC programming and editing. ⦁ Produce high-precision and micro-finish surfaces during turning, facing, and machining of aircraft landing gear components. ⦁ Review setup sheets, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining sequence, setup procedures, and finished part dimensions. Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and perform basic shop math. ⦁ Install fixtures, align and secure workpieces using clamps, bolts, hand tools, and measuring devices such as calipers and gauges in accordance with setup instructions. ⦁ Load control programs or enter machine commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from the system database. Set tool offsets and initiate machining operations. ⦁ Monitor machining operations and regulate processes by adjusting machine parameters and controls as required. ⦁ Observe machine performance to detect abnormalities such as tool wear, vibration, or equipment malfunction. ⦁ Replace cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and reposition workpieces as required throughout the machining process. ⦁ Perform layout, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
