Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside. Key Responsibilities: • Delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering, • Conducting training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance, • Instructing on the operation of lathe and milling machines, • Teaching the safe use of hand tools, • Providing training in hydraulics or pneumatics, • Ensuring compliance with health & safety practices and procedures, • Utilising chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable, • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standardsJob Requirements:, • Experience in mechanical engineering, • Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance, • Experience operating lathe and milling machines, • Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics, • Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures, • Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification, • Good interpersonal and computer skills, • Full driving licence, • Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable)Benefits:, • Full support in developing necessary teaching skills, • Opportunity to train the next generation of engineers, • Permanent, full-time position, • Continuous professional development
