This is a genuinely varied role, sitting 50% within hands on electrical engineering and 50% within controls development, supporting projects ranging from fast paced 6 week builds through to 18-month flagship programmes. The Role This is not a diagnostic or maintenance role. You will be designing and building systems from the ground up. On the electrical side, you will be: • Designing and building electrical panels, • Carrying out hands on electrical works, not just producing schematics, • Integrating and commissioning electrical systems within new equipment On the controls side, you will be: • Creating PLC programmes from scratch, • Writing logic and structured code rather than simply editing existing programmes, • Supporting full system development across R&D projects You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists on a wide range of development projects, giving you exposure to both short term rapid builds and longer-term complex programmes. About You To be successful, you will ideally have: • HNC or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering, • Strong hands-on electrical engineering experience, • Experience writing PLC code from scratch, any PLC platform considered, • Experience designing and commissioning control systems Experience within vision systems, data systems or regulated industries would be advantageous, but are very much nice to have rather than essential.
