At Quest Global in the UK, we are actively looking for Manufacturing Engineer (s) to join one of our Aerospace and Defense project team based in Wolverhampton, UK. • ME - CNC - Create and maintain CNC programs, setup documentation, and standard operating procedures for different Manufacturing Equipment's / Tools / Systems., • ME - Grinding - Previous Experience with Machining parameters, workholding, tooling, and dressing strategies for grinders., • ME - Milling - Previous experience of CNC manufacturing, with a focus on 5-axis mill-turn operations. Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, or Esprit)., • ME - Gears - Previous Experience or Strong knowledge of CNC gear cutting equipment. Specify and program CNC gear cutting, lapping, and grinding machines. Develop, validate, and optimize gear cutting processes. Role : All the Roles are full time contract Disclaimer : Due to the nature of the project, applicants must be UK Citizens, able to clear the necessary background checks. ME Gears : Key Responsibilities Develop, validate, and optimize gear cutting processes (bevel, spiral bevel, hypoid) for aerospace actuation applications. Define and implement manufacturing process plans (route cards, operation sheets, and tooling instructions). Specify and program CNC gear cutting, lapping, and grinding machines (e.g., Gleason, Klingelnberg, or similar). Lead process capability studies (Cp / Cpk) and ensure compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and tolerance feasibility. Support FAIRs, PPAPs, and process sign-off for new product introductions. Troubleshoot machining issues and drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Manage and maintain cutting tool databases, ensuring optimum tool life, geometry, and cost efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective / preventive actions (CAPA) on non-conformances. Previous Work Experience & Skills Required Minimum 5+ years experience in precision gear manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or high-integrity industries. Proven experience (5+ years) in gear manufacturing, specifically bevel gear cutting and finishing. Strong knowledge of CNC gear cutting equipment, such as Gleason Phoenix or Klingelnberg lines. Hands-on experience with CNC programming (Siemens, Fanuc, or similar). Understanding of GD&T, gear metrology, AGMA standards, and aerospace specifications and tolerances. Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and FAIR documentation processes. Competent in CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks CAM). Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing, PFMEA, control plans, and process validation techniques. Preferred Skills Experience in aerospace actuator or gearbox manufacturing. Knowledge of additive + subtractive hybrid machining processes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process automation initiatives.
