Our Lead Lighting and Compositing Artists (“L&C”) are wonderful visual storytellers and excellent motivators. They lead their team in defining the mood and atmosphere of our narratives, and highlight the charming details of our characters, props and environments. They are the savants of light, colour and creative problem solving. Your day-to-day will focus on creating the lighting of our episodes, finessing the colours in compositing, whilst always keeping the right balance between high quality and meeting deadlines. You will also be responsible for distributing work across your team members so that the workload is evenly balanced, and communicating with your supervisor and other departments to make sure the project is running smoothly. This is a role for someone with strong 3D design and motion graphics skills, ideally with experience building content for virtual production and real-time engines such as Unreal Engine. You’ll design and build 3D environments in tools such as Cinema 4D, Blender, then optimise and configure those environments in Unreal Engine before previewing and refining them live via Disguise’s RenderStream workflow on the XR stage. This will largely be a 9 to 5 role, though there may occasionally be a need to work outside of these hours to support shoots, OBs and/or recordings. Alongside Avant Arte, you’ll also be responsible for paid acquisition for Make–Ready Editions – our newer, more accessible editions brand, born out of Make–Ready, our specialist fine art printmaking studio. You’ll work closely with the dedicated Make–Ready Editions Marketing Lead, who owns the brand and wider marketing strategy. This role sits at the heart of our programme of editions, spanning paid acquisition, audience strategy and measurement through to the planning, forecasting and optimisation of every release. Paid media is also one of the largest single investments in the business. Our spend has increased by more than 300% in the last two years and is set to keep growing. We need someone who can bring the measurement, forecasting and testing rigour that should come with that investment. We have, on average, around two releases every week. Two Marketing Managers, who run campaign planning and optimisation day to day, will report into this role. You’ll also work closely with the rest of the marketing team.
