Role Title: Graduate Project Manager Start Date: September 2026 Location: Southampton Job Description This is an exciting new opportunity for a Graduate Project Manager to join our expanding Project Management Team. At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, defence, energy, and international development. Joining the existing Project and Cost Management team, you will be involved in managing projects, working closely with high profile clients, stakeholders, and all UK Tetra Tech disciplines to develop and deliver successful projects to our clients. As a Graduate Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality services and supporting the delivery of multiple projects for many of our high-profile clients. You will manage the delivery of these projects through the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities will include: • Assisting in delivering projects to the value anywhere between £1m to £500m across both Public and Private sectors, • Preparing tender and contract documents, • Ensuring internal governance is adhered to, • Assisting in the management and delivery of construction projects, • Assisting in the development of works and resource management, • Controlling project costs, • Managing project risk, • Facilitating project progress meetings with the project team, • Implementing change control management, • Client and Stakeholder liaison, • Eligibility for Government Security Clearance, • A minimum 2:1 degree in Project Management or construction related degree, • Experience in using Microsoft applications (required) - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, • Experience in using Microsoft applications (preferred) - Teams, Project, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), • Self-motivated, • Professional and ethical business approach, • Team player, able to deliver multiple projects to deadlines whilst forming effective relationships., • Suitability for Security clearance, • Flexibility to travel domestically and overseas if required We take pride in delivering projects effectively for clients. Quantity Surveyor – Construction / Property Development Location – Romsey Rapidly expanding property development company have an urgent requirement for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team located in central Romsey. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years proven experience of Quantity Surveying gained within the Property Development, Construction and New Home fields. The Role My client are seeking a dynamic and delivery focused Quantity Surveyor from within the Property Development / Construction / New Build industry to join their team in an important role as part of their continued growth. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide quantity surveying services within the Commercial department on multiple projects, ensuring commercial procedures are followed to maximise the project's commercial success. The quantity surveyor will be required to work closely with the rest of the project team to ensure all commercial risks and opportunities are managed and reported accurately. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Managing the project subcontract procurement process, including measuring bill of quantities from designs to assist with sub-contract pricing and procurement, ensuring that buying opportunities are maximised and best value is achieved through each subcontract order., • Preparation of value engineering schedules to identify opportunities to provide best value to the project throughout the detailed design and procurement process, liaising with the project design and technical team, attending design team meetings to ensure value engineering options are considered and group procurement agreements/suppliers are utilised whenever possible., • Oversee subcontract account management including monthly subcontractor valuations, agreeing value of subcontractor variations, administering of contra charges and preparation and agreement of final account statements, • Preparation and regular review of project risk and opportunity schedules, liaising with the project team to identify and record any project risks and opportunities which could have an impact on the project costs., • Production of project Cost Value Reconciliation reports on a monthly basis for each project ensuring the accurate forecasting., • Production and quarterly updates of cashflow forecasts for housing revenue and construction cost., • Production of subcontractor accruals., • Administration of subcontractor vetting including review SMAS approval, credit checks, suitable insurance cover and CIS and bank details in collaboration with accounts., • Contract administration of housing contracts., • Ensure third party rebate information is collated for indirect spend., • Carry out regular site visits reviewing subcontract valuations and affordable housing progress/valuations including presenting site progress to the employer’s agent., • Support the department to achieve a prompt positive resolution of subcontract disputes. This will include preparation of letters referencing relevant contract conditions and obligations. Experience • Degree level Quantity Surveying qualification or similar, • Ability to read and understand drawings, programmes and technical specifications alongside a good knowledge of construction processes and technologies, • Successfully managing housing development projects in a similar role, • Ability to measure to scale drawings using Bluebeam or similar, • Must demonstrate a high standard of IT skills, proficient in the use of Coins and MS Office, in particular Excel and Word, • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally, • Ability to prioritise workload with proven experience of being methodical and organised, • The ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the project team including, technical, design, construction, sales and customer care to ensure projects commercial success, • An active interest in construction technologies and how product innovation can be utilised to improve the commercial success or projects, • An active interest in how project risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and governance criteria can be managed, • Full UK Driving licence My client offers a competitive salary and benefits alongside a superb working environment within a friendly, professional and supportive team and there are excellent opportunities for further development within the industry.
