Field Service Engineer\nCompany: Evergreen Water Solutions\nLocation: Field-based (Regional/National coverage)\nPosition Type: Full-time, Permanent\nAbout Us\nAt Evergreen Water Solutions, we are dedicated to delivering clean water and sustainable wastewater treatment solutions. We design, install, and maintain cutting-edge technologies that keep the water industry moving forward.\nWe are currently looking for a skilled, multi-disciplinary Service Engineer to join our team, with a core focus on servicing, commissioning, and optimizing our advanced Cloth Pile Filter systems. If you have a blend of mechanical grit, electrical smarts, and a knack for process optimization, we want to hear from you.\nThe Role\nAs a Service Engineer, you won’t just be turning spanners; you will be the face of Evergreen on-site. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of our cloth pile filtration systems—ensuring peak mechanical performance, troubleshooting complex electrical control panels, and fine-tuning the biological/chemical process variables.\nKey Responsibilities\n Mechanical Maintenance: Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on cloth pile filters, including replacing filter cloths, overhauling drive mechanisms, pumps, valves, and backwash systems.\n Electrical Fault-Finding: Diagnose and repair electrical faults on-site. Work comfortably with control panels, low-voltage systems, instrumentation (flow meters, pressure sensors, turbidity sensors), and basic PLC interrogation.\n Process Optimization: Analyse filter performance (solids loading, backwash frequency, effluent quality) and adjust parameters to ensure compliance with strict environmental standards.\n Commissioning & Handover: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new filtration assets, providing training to client operators.\n Reporting: Complete digital service reports detailing work carried out, parts used, and proactive recommendations for the client.\nWhat We Are Looking For\n The Triple Threat: A strong multi-skilled background covering Electrical, Mechanical, and Process disciplines.\n Experience: Proven experience working within the water/wastewater industry or heavy industrial process environments. Direct experience with cloth pile or disc filters is a massive advantage.\n Qualifications:\n Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or HNC/D in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).\n Electrical qualification (e.g., 18th Edition) is highly desirable.\n Confined Space training and CSCS/EUSR card (preferred, but training can be provided).\n Mindset: A natural problem-solver who can work autonomously, manage their own time on the road, and maintain a safety-first attitude.\n Mobility: A full UK driving license is essential, alongside a willingness to travel and occasionally stay away overnight.\nWhat We Offer\n Competitive Salary: (Dependant on experience)\n Tools for the Job: Fully equipped company service van, high-quality tools, uniform, and laptop.\n Growth: Ongoing, specialized training on proprietary water treatment technologies.\n * Benefits: Pension scheme, generous holiday allowance.\nReady to sustain the future of water?\nApply today by sending your CV and a brief cover letter highlighting your experience with filtration systems
