The Role Uncommon is a group of flexible workspaces across London and we are looking for a F&B assistant/barista for our on-site café at our Fulham location Monday - Friday. Our Barista’s are the heart and soul of the communal area at each of our sites. Here you will report directly into the General Manager and work with a variety of different clients, industries, and segments. This is a maternity cover role covering a 12-month period until April 2025. What you'll be doing... Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following: Proactively uncover new prospects for the hotel and maximise conversion of new business. Work within current business strategies and recognise potential opportunities. Responsible for the conversion of the hotel’s new business pipeline across all market segments and heavily assist in converting enquiries and achieving our annual budget. Build and grow the relationships with our key clients. Respond to corporate RFPs and contract corporate accounts. Complete all re-negotiation and re-contracting of annual rate agreements to ensure that new contracts are in line with the hotels’ agreed financial KPI’s. Investigate new areas of business in terms of market development into new territories and market segments to quantifiable targets. Analyse the local market trends and competitor activity to identify hotel leads. Production and delivery of the sales performance reports (versus targets, KPI’s and overall sales objectives) Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of LNR accounts, undertaking complete account management responsibilities for maintaining, developing, and maximizing opportunities for the hotels and group where appropriate, achieving individual targets set for the year. Host clients, arrange FAM trips and attend networking events, corporate travel, and industry events on behalf of the hotel to gain knowledge and new business. Ensure effective communication with other hotel departments to enable the smooth operation of in-house groups and functions. Support in the completion of the monthly consolidated board sales packs and the monthly commercial reviews with the Senior leadership team. Input enquiries into SalesForce and ensure the system is continuously updated. Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans. A degree of knowledge of all market segments i.e., corporate, conference. To raise, develop and mentor new VFC members to become leaders. e. To submit accurate timely reports (financial, outreach, discipleship, etc) that reflect your daily activities. f. Interact with people from different cultural backgrounds and communities to promote the key activities of the VFC Glasgow church. g. Outreach activities may include organizing and participating in community events, providing support to individuals seeking spiritual or emotional assistance. ii. Discipleship: How to conduct an Encounter, making disciples, Growth Track, Forming Connect Groups, Training and developing leaders, understanding cross-cultural world views, Thriving in another culture, SOAP bible study method, inductive bible study method, Self-acceptance, and inner healing. iii.
