Duties and Responsibilities: · Plan and manage all purchasing activities for interior fit-out projects, including joinery, partitions, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, fittings, and specialist materials. · Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, technical specifications, and commercial objectives. · Source, evaluate, and appoint suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring they meet quality, safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards relevant to UK construction and fit-out works. · Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contractual terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and timely delivery across multiple projects. · Manage supplier contracts and performance, monitoring quality, delivery accuracy, and compliance with agreed terms. · Oversee inventory and stock control, ensuring efficient storage and reducing waste, over-ordering, or material shortages. Introduce new products, systems, and suppliers to improve quality, sustainability, and cost efficiency in interior fit-out delivery. · Control procurement budgets, track expenditure, and report on material costs to senior management to support accurate project costing and tender pricing. · Coordinate purchasing schedules with project managers and site teams to ensure just-in-time delivery and avoid delays or site congestion. · Ensure materials comply with UK building regulations, fire safety standards, and client specifications, including certification and traceability where required. · Manage supply chain risks, identifying alternative suppliers and contingency solutions to minimise disruption from shortages, delays, or price volatility. · Support tendering and pre-construction activities by providing up-to-date supplier pricing, availability information, and procurement advice. Skills/Qualifications/Experience: · Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation, and supply chain operations. · Excellent negotiation, commercial, and cost-control skills with a track record of achieving value for money. · Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, fire safety requirements, and product compliance standards. · Experience managing supplier performance, procurement budgets, stock control, and material scheduling. · Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement/ERP systems. · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. · Relevant or similar experience. · Relevant bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
