About the Role We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll play a key role in the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to manufacturing and continuous improvement—working on complex scanning systems used in critical security environments. What You’ll Do • Design and develop mechanical components including fabricated structures, sheet metalwork, machined parts, and hydraulic systems., • Create general arrangement and assembly drawings, along with detailed bills of materials., • Ensure mechanical designs integrate seamlessly with electrical and system components., • Participate in design reviews, project kick-offs, and customer meetings., • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) through our document control system., • HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)., • Strong experience in designing large, fabricated products and electro-mechanical assemblies., • Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus., • Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., Agile) is beneficial., • Background in design for manufacture and production environments., • Solid understanding of engineering calculations and their practical application.
