Typically, you will manage bids across one or more schemes, depending on value and complexity.As a business, projects are secured through repeat work, relationships, and reputation rather than frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing detailed cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and first principlesManaging the full tender process from enquiry to submissionProducing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentationSubcontractor enquiry, analysis, and negotiationIdentifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering optionsSupporting bid strategy and contributing to tender adjudicationsLiaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams during pre-constructionMaintaining and developing supply chain relationshipsExperience & Skills RequiredExperience in an Estimator role within constructionStrong understanding of construction methods, particularly in refurbishmentAbility to price projects from first principlesStrong numerical, analytical, and commercial awarenessExcellent attention to detailConfident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholdersDesirable:Experience in residential and/or commercial refurbishmentKnowledge of listed building or heritage projectsRelevant degree or time-served experienceProfessional membership (RICS / CIOB or similar)PackageQuarterly bonus linked to KPIs and business performance20 days holiday + bank holidays (under review)Additional Christmas shutdown leave + birthday offCompany pensionOngoing training and career developmentWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
