About this Role Are you a skilled mechanic or engineer looking for a role that offers variety, independence, and career progression? Were looking for a Workshop Engineer/Technician to maintain, repair and prepare our hire fleet vehicles, including sweepers and specialist equipment. Youll be based at our Brighouse depot, playing a key part in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready to go. Whether youre already in municipal engineering or have transferable skills from another sector, we want to hear from you! Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles and equipment Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards Work on hydraulic and electrical systems (dont worry, well support your learning) Prepare and deliver vehicles for MOT testing Help with stock checks and general fleet readiness Keep accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers About You Youre a hands-on problem solver with a background in mechanical maintenance, keen to apply your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment . Experience in a mechanical or engineering role Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent) Full, valid UK driving licence Ability to work independently and solve issues efficiently Strong communication and customer service skills Even if you dont match every skill listed, we encourage you to apply, as great potential matters to us.
