We are currently seeking an HGV Driver, with good experience and a Class 2 licence to join our team in Beckton. We offer excellent development prospects and a long-term career. The position will involve occasional warehouse loading (training will be provided). As a HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of our bus fleet. We’re seeking hands-on professionals with practical experience to support our mission of upholding high safety and performance standards. Whether you’re a recent graduate of a vocational training program or have 6 to 12 months of relevant experience, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and servicing of public service vehicles (buses). - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. - Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to reduce vehicle downtime. - Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to maintain fleet efficiency. Qualifications: Essential: - 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience with buses or heavy vehicles. - Relevant qualification in vehicle maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent). - Strong diagnostic skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. - Knowledge of vehicle systems, including brakes, steering, and suspension. Desirable: - Previous experience in bus or fleet maintenance. - Familiarity with hybrid or electric vehicle technologies. - A valid driving license (preferably Category D).
