Do you want to support student learning and development by supervising classes in the absence of a teacher? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming mainstream Primary school in Great Yarmouth through Teaching Personnel. The Role: You’ll be responsible for supervising classes of students and ensuring they complete the work that has been set for them by the absent teacher. This is a crucial, non-teaching role that involves managing classroom dynamics, maintaining a positive learning environment, and helping students to stay on task. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise secondary school classes during the short-term absence of a teacher., • Manage student behaviour effectively and in line with school policy., • Ensure students complete the work that has been set for them., • Provide general support to students and answer their questions as needed., • Report back to the class teacher or Head of Department on the lesson's progress., • Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills., • The ability to work on your own initiative and remain calm under pressure., • A positive, can-do attitude., • We pride ourselves on supporting education professionals at every stage of their career.
