Runner - Llama Inn10 hours agoFull-timeLondonAbout the job Company Description We are looking for a Runner to be part of our team for The Hoxton, Shoreditch in our Llama Inn Restaurant. The Hoxton, Shoreditch – our first hotel – found its home in a former car park, and just like the neighbourhood, has evolved over the years into a fixture of the East London scene. Shoreditch has become one of the most happening areas of London, and we’re bang in the middle of it, with 210 bedrooms, the Apartment, and two in-house restaurants – Hoxton Grill and Llama Inn. Llama Inn: A freewheeling, modern approach to Peruvian cooking, with an exciting menu of ceviche, small plates, sharing dishes, natural wine and standout cocktails at our rooftop Peruvian restaurant in Shoreditch. Job Description What you’ll do… You keep things running (pun intended!) by making sure the team have everything to provide that memorable guest experience – from bringing out food, to clearing up tables, getting them set up for the next guests and occasionally taking orders. As Bartender, you’ll need to know your negronis from your martinis to provide the first-class service our guests expect. You’ll also need good wine knowledge, but our in-house beverage training will make sure you’re always up to speed. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers - Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations - Maintain a clean and organized bar area - Check identification to ensure legal drinking age - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations - Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register - Assist in opening and closing duties of the bar - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service Skills: - Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment - Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating tips - Time management skills to efficiently serve customers in a timely manner - Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of beverages Requirements: - Previous experience as a bartender or in the hospitality industry preferred - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you are passionate about bartending, have excellent customer service skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you!
