About the Role Reporting into the Financial Controller, our client is looking for an ambitious and self-starter, working independently and as part of a team. The Finance Assistant will support the finance function in managing day-to-day financial operations and administration across multiple events. This role is ideal for a finance graduate looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The role involves processing financial transactions, liaising with customers, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager and involves business partnering. Responsibilities • Assist with processing customer and supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding against the budget and department, • Responsible for keeping accurate records of paid registration, • Assist with reviewing staff and event-related expense claims, • Bank Reconciliation, • Chasing aged debtors, • Business partnering with the wider team including Sales and Operations to resolve queries. Qualifications • Finance graduate (desirable) or 1/2 years work experience within a similar role Required Skills • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel & Word, • Knowledge of Xero accounting software is desirable, • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple event projects simultaneously, • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement, • Ability to work independently both at home and 2 days per week at our Tunbridge Wells office Pay range and compensation package £28,000-£30,000 Equal Opportunity Statement Our client is committed to diversity and inclusivity.
