Clinical Negligence Senior Associate - Liverpool - Up to £80,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation in healthcare and clinical negligence litigation. The firm acts for major healthcare organisations and public sector bodies, providing high-quality legal advice within a collaborative and supportive environment. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Senior Associate to join its specialist healthcare litigation team in Liverpool. The team handles a broad range of complex and high-value defendant clinical negligence matters, including both pre-litigated and litigated claims. You will take responsibility for managing your own caseload while working closely with experienced lawyers and healthcare professionals. The role offers exposure to technically challenging work, excellent career development opportunities and involvement in client engagement and business development activity. The Role: • Manage a caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, including pre-litigated and litigated matters, • Act on behalf of healthcare organisations and public sector bodies, • Conduct detailed investigations to assess liability and quantum, • Draft key legal documents including pleadings, reports and correspondence, • Liaise with clients, claimants, counsel, experts and other stakeholders, • Maintain accurate case records, key dates and action plans, • Contribute to client development, networking and training initiatives, • Ensure compliance with client protocols, regulatory requirements and internal procedures About You: • Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years PQE in clinical negligence or healthcare litigation, • Experience handling defendant clinical negligence claims (claimant experience also considered), • Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes, • Ability to manage a varied caseload of complex and high-value matters, • Strong analytical and investigative skills when reviewing medical evidence, • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, • Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients, counsel, experts and stakeholders, • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Benefits: • Competitive salary up to £80,000 depending on experience, • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, • Company pension scheme, • Supportive and collaborative working environment, • Clear opportunities for career progression and professional development, • Accessible office location with good public transport links Apply in the strictest of confidence online and or via telephone - there is no need for a CV for an initial conversation.
