We are seeking a Associate Development Director to support the delivery of complex, large-scale regeneration projects from acquisition through to completion. This is a broad and commercially focused role spanning acquisition, planning, infrastructure delivery, commercial management and stakeholder engagement, working across a diverse portfolio of strategic sites. You will play a key role in shaping and progressing developments that create lasting social, economic and environmental value — helping to bring forward major regeneration schemes that respond to market demand, align with policy and deliver long-term sustainable outcomes. As Associate Development Director you will support and lead workstreams across the development lifecycle, including: • Supporting land and development acquisitions, including due diligence, site constraints, and risk/opportunity analysis, • Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant teams (planning, design, engineering, cost, legal, environmental), • Driving projects through the planning and consent process, supporting strategy, submissions and negotiations[ES1], • Working with the Finance team to prepare development appraisals, financial modelling, viability testing and commercial reporting, • Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and enabling works, including programme, risk and stakeholder management, • Working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects remain commercially robust and deliverable, • Supporting procurement and appointment of professional teams, contractors and advisors, • Managing stakeholder relationships, including local authorities, statutory bodies, community stakeholders and landowners, • Ensuring ESG considerations are embedded throughout projects, including sustainability targets, social value and long-term place-making outcomes We are looking for someone with strong development fundamentals and commercial acumen with an with an ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment. You will likely have: • 5–10 years’ experience in development, regeneration, real estate or infrastructure-led projects, • Commercial awareness with experience preparing appraisals, viability and investment decision-making, • Confidence managing consultants, coordinating multiple workstreams and delivering against programme, • Experience working with (or alongside) local authorities and public sector stakeholders, • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels, • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail and sound judgement Qualifications (preferred): • MRICS or equivalent commercial and development experience.
