Location: Central London (independent imaging provider) Salary: Competitive + benefits Contract: Full-time, permanent Reporting to: Clinical Imaging leadership team The role Join a collaborative, patient-centred imaging service delivering high-quality MR diagnostics. You’ll lead on all aspects of cardiac MRI, support a skilled MRI team, and champion a culture of safety, quality, innovation and continuous improvement. What you’ll do • Lead cardiac MRI: education, training, protocol optimisation and image quality assurance., • Keep the team current with latest cardiac MRI practice and embed new scanning protocols., • Perform a wide range of MRI exams (Cardiac, MSK, Neuro, GI, Gynae, Urology, Breast, ENT and whole-body)., • Work confidently across multiple MRI scanners, providing advanced troubleshooting., • Justify examinations under IR(ME)R and deliver compassionate, patient-focused care., • Administer contrast/medications under PGDs and local policy (training available if needed)., • Liaise closely with Consultant Radiologists/Cardiologists and the wider MDT., • Evaluate clinical image quality and recommend protocol adjustments to maximise diagnostic value., • Use RIS/PACS and image-sharing portals accurately for data entry and reporting workflows., • Promote and uphold MRI safety, infection prevention and health & safety standards., • Support scheduling/rota coordination and deputise for superintendents when required., • Contribute to governance, audits, incident reporting and action plans; help develop SOPs and protocols., • Participate in a Monday–Sunday service and on-call rota (pattern may evolve with service needs)., • Mentor colleagues, support competency assessments and foster an inclusive, supportive team culture. About you • HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographer (BSc or equivalent)., • Significant cardiac MRI experience with demonstrable leadership in training/quality improvement., • Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R, MRI safety and contrast administration (cannulation competency)., • Skilled across a broad MRI caseload; comfortable with multiple vendors (e.g., Siemens/GE/Philips)., • Confident with RIS/PACS and image-sharing workflows.
