Role Overview As Technical Support & Warranty Engineer, you will provide a blend of hands‑on technical expertise and structured warranty management to support the UK retailer network during AION’s launch phase. You will take the lead in diagnosing vehicle issues, guiding retailers through fault‑finding, reviewing technical evidence and ensuring repairs are completed right‑first‑time. Alongside technical support, you will own the end‑to‑end warranty process, validating claim submissions, reviewing evidence, identifying trends and supporting retailers with accurate and compliant documentation. You will work closely with engineering teams, ensuring complex cases are escalated with complete technical information and tracked through to resolution. This hybrid role is central to establishing AION’s aftersales capability in the UK and is expected to evolve into two separate positions as volumes grow. It offers broad exposure across technical, warranty and operational processes, with significant influence on customer outcomes, quality direction and the future structure of the After Sales function. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support to retailers through Salesforce, guiding diagnosis and repair direction., • Review and validate warranty claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with policy., • Liaise with engineering teams to escalate complex cases and agree next steps., • Coordinate warranty parts returns and contribute to early failure trend analysis., • Maintain high standards of case quality, documentation and evidence management., • Assist with audit readiness by maintaining accurate, retrievable documentation and identifying process improvements. Skills and Experience • Strong technical background, ideally from a dealership technician or diagnostics role (EV experience beneficial)., • Solid understanding of workshop processes and basic warranty principles., • Confident using IT systems, with experience of CRM or warranty platforms advantageous., • Clear, structured communicator and effective relationship‑builder with retailer partners., • Highly organised, detail‑focused and comfortable working in a fast‑paced launch environment., • Full UK driving licence.
