The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. 🔍 Key Responsibilities Respond to emergency call-outs: power loss, live exposed cables, tripped boards, switches not working, etc. Diagnose and repair faults across domestic properties quickly and safely; tasks include consumer unit upgrades, rewiring, socket fitting, RCD/RCBO replacement Test and inspect installations using professional instruments (multimeter, insulation tester, cable tracer) Accurately complete EICRs, EICs, and minor works certificates as required Maintain detailed daily records: job logs, materials used, customer sign-off Required Qualifications & Skills Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) + 18th Edition Wiring Regs certification ECS card or equivalent proof of electrical competence 3+ years’ experience in domestic/commercial emergency work, with strong fault-finding skills Full UK driving licence & own well-equipped van (hand tools, power tools, testers, PPE) Essential Attributes Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability Strong communication skills and professional customer service Able to work unsupervised and manage job priorities Flexible availability to attend emergencies 24/7 High attention to safety, compliance with all relevant regulations
