Employment Solicitor (2-5 PQE) - Leicester A highly regarded Legal 500 law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor (2-5 years' PQE) to join its growing Employment Law team in Leicester. You will play a key role advising a broad client base on a wide range of employment law matters, while gaining exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work. The Role The Employment Solicitor will manage a varied caseload and support clients on a range of workplace legal matters. Key responsibilities include: • Advising clients on employment law matters, including acting for claimants in settlement agreements, • Defending Employment Tribunal claims, including preparing Grounds of Resistance, disclosure, drafting witness statements and advising on case merits, • Representing clients and assisting with Employment Tribunal hearings, • Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, policies and procedures, • Providing practical, commercially focused advice to ensure clients' objectives are met, • Keeping up to date with employment law developments and delivering client updates or training sessions, • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high level of client service, • Supporting the wider team with business development and networking activities, • Working collaboratively with colleagues, including Senior Associates and Partners This opportunity is ideal for a 2-5 PQE Employment Solicitor looking to join a progressive firm where they can develop technically while contributing to team growth You will have: • Qualified Solicitor with somewhere between 2-5 years' PQE in Employment Law, • Experience handling Employment Tribunal matters and advising clients on employment law issues, • The ability to manage straightforward transactions and legal matters independently, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and apply relevant legal principles, • Confidence in reviewing information, assessing risks, and providing clear legal advice, • Excellent communication and client relationship skills, • A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work This leading UK law firm has a heritage spanning over 200 years and is recognised for delivering high-quality legal advice across a wide range of practice areas.
