Housing Disrepair Solicitor / Fee Earner Offices in both Manchester and Liverpool – Hybrid working available (Fully onsite to begin with then after probation you can work 50/50 onsite/remote working) Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 plus bonus (dependent on experience) Hours: Flexible start and finish times The Opportunity A leading law firm with a strong reputation in housing litigation is looking to expand its team with experienced Solicitors and Fee Earners. The work will involve both pre-litigated and litigated claims, brought under Sections 9a and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Your duties will include: • Running a caseload of housing disrepair claims from inception to conclusion, • Drafting Letters of Claim and issuing court proceedings where required, • Reviewing housing records, surveyor reports and other evidence, • Collating special damages and preparing schedules, • Negotiating settlements and attending mediations, • Liaising with counsel and other stakeholders, • Maintaining accurate records using Proclaim case management system, • Providing excellent service and communication to clients About You Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Fee Earners or experienced Litigators with relevant housing disrepair or civil litigation experience. Essential requirements include: • Experience in housing disrepair or at least 10 years civil litigation experience, • Ability to bill at Grade B or above, • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload, • Previous use of case management systems (Proclaim experience preferred), • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Confidence in handling your own litigation and negotiations How to Apply If you are looking to join a progressive law firm where your contribution will be recognised and rewarded, please apply with your most recent CV.
