Project Coordinator\n £17.63 per hour\n Full-time, Temporary (to 08/2026)\n Office-based (Manchester City Centre)\n \n Overall job purpose:\n To provide high-quality operational, administrative, and coordination support to a large-scale, multi-partner programme within a higher education environment. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of project activities, supporting collaboration across academic, professional services, and external partners.\n \n Key responsibilities:\n\nAct as the first point of contact for project-related enquiries, responding promptly and professionally or escalating where required.\nSupport effective communication and information flow between senior leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders.\nProvide proactive executive and administrative support, including diary management, scheduling, and prioritisation of competing demands.\nCoordinate meetings and review sessions, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and tracking actions through to completion.\nSupport the preparation and delivery of project updates, reports, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.\nOrganise and support events, workshops, and engagement activities, including logistics, communications, travel arrangements, and on-site coordination.\nAssist with the collection, organisation, and analysis of project data to support reporting and decision-making.\nCoordinate and monitor reporting activities across multiple stakeholders, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, records, and databases in line with internal processes.\nSupport administrative processes relating to programme delivery, including documentation, tracking changes, and maintaining audit trails.\nAssist with communications and marketing activities, including website updates, content creation, and social media support.\nCoordinate the development of internal and external materials, liaising with relevant stakeholders and suppliers.\nSupport procurement processes, including raising purchase requests, tracking orders, and ensuring timely processing of invoices.\nUse internal systems and tools effectively to support efficient project administration and organisation.\nProvide flexible support across the wider team, assisting with additional duties as required during busy periods.\n Candidate requirements:\n\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging a wide range of stakeholders, including academic and professional services staff.\nAbility to work proactively, using initiative to manage tasks independently.\nExperience supporting projects, programmes, or busy administrative functions.\nExperience coordinating meetings, including minute taking and action tracking.\nExperience organising events or workshops, including logistics and stakeholder coordination.\nStrong attention to detail, particularly when handling data, documentation, and reporting.\nGood IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and experience using University systems or databases.\nAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.\nFlexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a complex organisational environment.\n Desirable:\n\nExperience working within higher education or a similar complex organisation.\nExperience in communications, marketing, or digital content (e.g. website or social media updates).\nExperience supporting funded projects, programmes, or partnerships.\nExposure to procurement or finance-related administrative processes.\n Additional information:\n This role sits within a collaborative and fast-moving higher education environment, requiring a proactive and adaptable approach.
