SEN Tutor / SEND Tutor – Southwark GCSE | Functional Skills | SEMH | Autism | ADHD | 1:1 Tuition Southwark & surrounding areas £20–£35 per hour PAYE Flexible Part-Time / Full-Time Monday–Friday availability required (9am–4pm) New Chapter Tuition is recruiting compassionate and experienced SEN Tutors to support children and young people aged 5–25 across Southwark. This is a rewarding 1:1 outreach tutoring role supporting learners with additional needs including Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, Dyslexia, anxiety, and emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). Learners may require support with: • Primary learning, • KS3 and KS4 curriculum, • GCSE preparation, • Functional Skills English and Maths, • Re-engagement with education, • Deliver engaging 1:1 personalised tuition, • Adapt learning to individual needs and EHCP outcomes, • Support learners with SEN / SEND and complex needs, • Build positive and consistent relationships, • Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills support where appropriate, • Complete progress reports and session feedback, • Work collaboratively with families and professionals, • Use trauma-informed and nurture-based approachesRequirements, • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN / SEND, • Background in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, TA, HLTA, or education support preferred, • Good understanding of the UK National Curriculum, • Confident supporting GCSE and/or Functional Skills learning, • Strong communication and behaviour management skills, • Ability to work independently in community settings, • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), • Right to work in the UKWhat We Offer, • Competitive PAYE hourly pay, • Flexible working opportunities, • Long-term placements available, • Ongoing CPD and SEND training, • Access to professional development webinars, • Dedicated tutor support from our team
