We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join a busy team in Hertfordshire on a fully office-based basis. This is an urgent, high-volume role running until the end of May, ideal for a payroll professional with strong manual payroll experience and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: • End-to-end payroll processing, with focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, • Perform complex manual payroll calculations for all payroll elements, • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring data integrity, • HR administration, including starters, leavers, absences, and job changes, • Support Time and Attendance processes for payroll accuracy, • Administer employee pension schemes and liaise with providers, • Respond to and resolve payroll queries in a professional and timely manner, • Proven experience in high-volume, manual payroll processing, • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance, • Proficiency in Staffology and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables), • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, • Experience with pension administration is preferred, • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team This is a hands-on role where your payroll expertise will make a real impact on the business and its employees.
