Our client, a respected law firm based in Tamworth, is seeking a dynamic Head of Employment Law to lead their thriving Employment team. This is a unique opportunity to play a strategic role in shaping the future of the department and the wider practice. SALARY IS NEGIOTABLE Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the Employment Law department, ensuring high standards of client service, supervision, and compliance., • Collaborate with the senior management team to influence firm-wide decisions and attend regular strategy meetings., • Drive team performance through effective file reviews, work allocation, and mentoring junior lawyers., • Maintain a strong personal caseload, achieving annual billing targets (1265 chargeable hours) while ensuring profitability., • Inspire excellence in legal practice, client care, and business ethics across the team., • Spearhead the marketing and business development strategy for the department., • Contribute to budgeting, credit control, and fee recovery processes., • Proactively cross-sell services and build long-term relationships with clients and referral partners., • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with at least 4 years’ post-qualified experience in Employment Law., • Demonstrable experience in both claimant and respondent work, ideally with advocacy exposure., • A natural leader with the ability to inspire and develop others., • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and excellent marketing instincts., • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills., • Proficient in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office tools., • Join a well-established firm with a supportive leadership team and collaborative culture., • Take on a strategic leadership role with autonomy and room to grow., • Enjoy a competitive salary package, bonus structure, and great benefits.
