Emanuel School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physics Technician to play a key role in the delivery of Physics lessons. The successful candidate will work with the technician team to ensure that all Physics lessons are set up in line with teacher requirements, support all science practical work, and ensure that apparatus and stock are maintained efficiently. What we are looking for The right person for this role will have an excellent grounding in practical physical sciences. They will demonstrate competence in setting up and managing experiments, including work with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, optical benches, and other standard A-level apparatus. They must take responsibility for health and safety in their environment, including understanding COSHH procedures and equipment safety protocols. Experience of working in a laboratory environment is essential. We are looking for someone with meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You should have strong problem-solving skills, clear communication with staff and pupils, and be comfortable with the physical demands of the role including manual handling and moving equipment around the school.
