Your new company You will be working within the prison service for a facilities management and maintenance company. This company ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison are completed to a high standard. Your new role* Assist in and lead the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused. * To manage and deliver a proactive service in delivering planned maintenance and remedials on behalf of the client via on-site staff and contracted labour resources. * Plan and programme maintenance activities according to the Compliance programme and within the CAFM system, prioritising work in a hierarchy of safety, compliance and contractual requirements. * Manager the day-to-day running of the estate, leading a team of building engineers (electricians, plumbers, joiners etc), stores people and cleaners whilst working with contractors on site. * Help to maintain standards as set out in the Service Level Agreement. * Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management, ensuring quick resolution. * Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times. * Check and sign timesheets in accordance with procedures. * Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to receive and manage expectations. * To Supervise, Lead and deliver a proactive service in delivering planned maintenance and remedials on behalf of the client. * To supervise and lead all teams' PPM activities in line with company procedures and in adherence to site rules inclusive of health and safety, environmental and quality systems. * To provide a single point of contact for the team members allocated to PPM and compliance services. * To Lead the team in line with site and company policies and procedures. * To deliver all agreed KPI - SLA targets and objectives set to meet our contractual obligations. * To set the standard by demonstrating a professional approach whilst delivering and supervising the team. * Provide appropriate challenge and assurance to ensure that work is delivered to the highest standard and to Health and Safety. What you'll need to succeed* Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate arena. * Must be technically qualified. Trade qualification minimum. * Facilities Management qualifications are advantageous. * Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance. * IT Literate. * Team management, working on their own initiative, understanding deadlines and priority. The successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass an Enhanced level 1 vetting with the client. (This is similar to a DBS check). What you'll get in returnYou will be paid between £20-£24 per hour Inclusive of Holiday Pay, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis. Senior E C & I Engineer Location: Warrington Contract: 12 Months+ IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Rate: £51.00 - £57.00 per hour (Umbrella) Security Clearance: BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Senior E C & I Engineer to lead and deliver engineering and technical activities across complex projects. You will apply expert domain knowledge to resolve technical challenges, produce high-quality engineering deliverables, mentor junior staff, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Operating with a high degree of independence, you will uphold engineering best practice and ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Engineer, you will: Lead engineering design and development activities within your specialist discipline. Tackle a wide range of engineering challenges involving high levels of complexity and uncertainty. Provide direction, support and mentoring to less experienced team members. Adhere to all Health & Safety standards and be fully conversant with authorised documentation, Good Practice guides and ISO standards. Promote effective collaboration across Engineering and wider functional teams. Support customer engagement and relationship development, ensuring progress is effectively communicated. Identify and apply relevant procedures, codes and standards to all engineering work. Contribute to Project Safety Assessments. Communicate and manage project and task risks appropriately. Produce, review and approve engineering deliverables including calculations, analyses, drawings, models, technical reports and design basis documents. Assess and manage design changes, concessions and technical queries. Maintain engineering configuration and design intent throughout the lifecycle. Evaluate technical issues and propose investigative or improvement activities. Support project planning, control and delivery. Make engineering decisions within your delegated authority. Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised. Drive high standards of HSE performance and champion positive behaviours. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and promote engineering best practice. Capture and contribute to Learning from Experience (LfE) during and after projects. Support business development and tendering processes. Essential Experience & Qualifications Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with significant demonstrable experience. Chartered Engineer status or actively working toward chartership. Strong background in multi-disciplinary project delivery. Experience across a diverse range of technical tasks and complexities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines. Desirable Membership of a relevant professional institute or extensive experience supporting registration with the Engineering Council. Experience managing engineering scope from concept through to EPC. Broad experience across commercial and/or defence projects. Minimum Verified Qualifications Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with significant demonstrable experience. TPBN1_UKTJ
