    We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Strategy/Governance Consultant Assistant to support the delivery of data governance, data quality, and data strategy initiatives across a range of client projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in data consulting, working alongside experienced consultants to help organisations improve the way they manage, protect, and use their data. The successful candidate will assist with data governance frameworks, policy documentation, data quality assessments, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination while gaining exposure to industry-leading practices in data management and governance. This reflects the types of responsibilities commonly found in data governance consulting roles. Key Responsibilities • Support consultants in delivering data strategy and governance projects., • Assist in developing and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and procedures., • Help document business processes, data flows, and data ownership models., • Support data quality assessments and monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness., • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders., • Participate in workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviews., • Maintain project documentation, action logs, and governance records., • Assist with data cataloguing, metadata management, and business glossary updates., • Conduct research into data management best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies., • Work collaboratively with business analysts, data engineers, architects, and project managers. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, Law, or a related discipline., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities., • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office 365., • Basic understanding of SQL or data analysis is desirable., • Interest in data governance, data management, AI governance, compliance, or business consulting., • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a collaborative environment. Desirable Skills • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau., • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles., • Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK., • Exposure to Azure, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar data governance tools is advantageous but not essential. Key Responsibilities • Complete daily multi-drop delivery routes efficiently and safely., • Load, unload, and secure goods to prevent damage during transit., • Deliver products to customers on schedule while maintaining a professional attitude., • Verify delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery where required., • Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift., • Plan routes effectively to maximise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines., • Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or delivery issues., • Handle customer queries professionally and report any concerns to management., • Follow all road traffic laws and company health and safety policies., • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the delivery vehicle. Skills and Experience • Previous experience as a multi-drop delivery driver is preferred., • Full, valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven., • Good knowledge of local road networks and navigation systems., • Excellent time management and organisational skills., • Strong customer service and communication abilities., • Ability to work independently and manage a busy delivery schedule., • Physically fit and capable of lifting and carrying goods safely., • Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual., • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for completing delivery paperwork or using handheld devices. Desirable Qualifications • Experience using handheld delivery scanners or route management apps., • Clean driving record., • Manual handling training (preferred but not essential). Working Conditions • Full-time or part-time opportunities available., • Early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required., • Work involves regular driving, lifting, loading, and unloading of goods., • Uniform and company vehicle may be provided.
