1670CW Site Regulatory Workstream Officer Maternity Cover Hinkley Point C, Somerset PAYE £235.57 or Umbrella £332.49 Job Purpose / Overview The Site Regulatory Workstream Officer reports to the Site Regulatory Liaison Manager to ensure that engagement with the Regulators at Hinkley Point C (HPC) site is consistently and effectively managed to enable site teams to demonstrate their compliance with various obligations and requirements and capability. Principal Accountabilities Manage the interface with ONR and EA at HPC site. This includes ensuring that the site adheres to agreed protocols and processes for managing regulatory engagement activities including meetings, correspondence, email exchanges, assessment and inspections. Ensure that the regulators have good oversight of site-based activities, including organisation of, and participation in routine monthly site Level 4 meetings Forward planning for regulatory inspections and site based regulatory meetings, including pre-meetings and ensuring appropriate NNB and contractor attendance so that compliance and capability can be effectively demonstrated Participation in other regulatory engagements to support effective site-based interactions Supporting the regulators during visits into the construction site enabling monitoring of real time compliance including early reporting of any concerns raised during the visit Ensure that agendas, notes/actions and commitments associated with ONR and EA meetings are agreed with all internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. Ensure that the logistics of regulator visits to HPC are in place for each engagement Ensure proper and timely transmittal of documents to the regulators Manage action tracking process, driving timely completion of actions. Ensure that Regulatory Issues raised by regulators are managed and closed out by the assigned owners Produce reporting for site-based activities which is subsequently shared with the regulators. Engage in effective communication between all relevant internal and external Stakeholders, including delivery partners, to ensure that the requirements, standards and expectations for effective regulatory engagement are clearly understood and complied with. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Knowledge & Skills Degree qualified or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical or engineering environment. Typically has held a position with experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders. Previous experience of working on a large construction project preferably within the Nuclear Industry would be an advantage. Minimum of 2 years' experience of working with and developing good relationships with the regulators, e.g. ONR, EA. Ability to work independently and be proactive Excellent communication/interpersonal skills at all levels Accuracy, tenacity, diplomacy, results-oriented and a team player Technical Competencies Demonstrable appreciation of the role and importance of legislative and industry requirements. Under broad supervision plans effective implementation; identifying, tracking and managing the appropriate route to achieve critical tasks and deliverables. Good understanding of a number of core procedures / stages relevant to individual work area within the Technical and Engineering fields. Participates in knowledge sharing across the business.
