Night Resident Host, London \n £15,250 | 6pm-12am, 4 on 4 off \n We're recruiting for a night resident host to join the team at a residential building in London. \n Evenings in a building like this are usually fairly calm but you still need to be switched on. You'll be the person residents come to after hours. You'll keep the building secure, walk the floors and do your checks. If something does go wrong, like a leak, a noise complaint or a fire alarm going off, you'll deal with it sensibly and make sure the day team know about it in the morning. \n It would suit someone who's worked evenings or nights on a concierge desk, in a hotel, in front of house or in building security and who wants something a bit more settled and people focused. We're looking for an experienced, organised and hands-on House Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our guest and housekeeping operations. This is an important role within our small team. You'll be the person making sure the site is ready for guests, the housekeeping operation runs smoothly, enquiries are dealt with, supplies are where they need to be and problems are dealt with before they become problems for our guests. You'll work closely with our housekeeping and outdoor teams, coordinating the day-to-day workload and making sure everyone knows what needs to happen and when. You'll also be the main point of contact for guests during their stay, providing a warm, helpful and efficient reception service. It's a genuinely hands-on management role. Some days you'll spend more time coordinating the operation and dealing with guests; on quieter days you'll be getting stuck into laundry, helping with a clean, carrying out a deep clean, checking cabins or organising stock. You’ll need to be comfortable taking responsibility rather than waiting to be told what to do. You will probably be someone who notices that the laundry needs doing before somebody asks. You'll spot the missing supplies, notice that something isn't quite right in a cabin and deal with it. You'll be comfortable making sensible decisions within your role and letting us know when something needs escalating. You’ll also need to be comfortable switching between different types of work. One morning might involve checking cabins and organising the housekeeping team. The next hour might be spent answering a guest enquiry. Later, you might be sorting laundry, helping with a clean or receiving a stock delivery. The role is physically active and you'll be on your feet for much of the day. • Have previous hospitality, hotel, holiday-let or accommodation experience, • Have experience coordinating or supervising a small team, • Have excellent attention to detail, • Are confident dealing with guests, • Are highly organised and able to prioritise without constant direction, • Take pride in maintaining high standards, • Are practical and happy to get stuck in, • Communicate clearly and calmly, • Can work independently and use their own initiative, • Are reliable, trustworthy and comfortable taking responsibility, • This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, worked over 5 days from 7 on a rota., • The role will include some weekend and Friday working, with your days off rotating as part of a two-week rota., • £28,000–£30,000 salary depending on experience, • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays, • Company pension, • Uniform, • Free on-site parking, • Use of our on-site facilities, • Due to our rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
