We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established NHS community health service in a rewarding and varied Band 2/3 role.\nBlissful Healthcare is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading NHS organisation in Derbyshire for Bank Community Health & Social Care Support Workers across three community sites.\nWhat you will be doing\nIn this role, you will work alongside registered healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients and service users across Derbyshire. Your duties will include:\n✅ Providing person-centred, compassionate care following individual care plans\n✅ Supporting patients with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking\n✅ Completing physiological observations (blood pressure, blood glucose, urinalysis etc.)\n✅ Recognising and escalating changes in a patient's physical or mental health\n✅ Administering medication tasks as directed\n✅ Supporting rehabilitation and promoting independence\n✅ Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team across health and social care\n✅ Accurately updating patient records using IT and paper-based systems\n✅ Promoting dignity, respect and the wellbeing of every service user\nShift patterns available\n 07:00 – 14:00\n 14:00 – 22:00\n 22:00 – 07:00\n(Long days are not available for this role)\nLocations:\nYou will be asked for your preferred site at the point of application:\n \n 📍 Buxton, SK17 7BR\n \n 📍 Ilkeston, DE7 8PF\n \n 📍 Staveley, S43 3LY\nWhat we are looking for\nEssential:\n \n Minimum 1 year of experience in a health or social care setting\n \n NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or equivalent experience\n \n GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)\n \n Confident with personal care, observations and following care plans\n \n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\n \n Willingness to travel across Derbyshire\n \n Flexible and available for various shift patterns including evenings, nights and weekends\n \n A compassionate, non-judgmental and person-centred approach\nDesirable:\n \n Experience in community, rehab, or step-down settings\n \n Experience working with people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or mental health needs\n * \n Familiarity with electronic patient record systems\nWhat is on offer\n✅ Flexible bank shifts — work around your availability\n✅ Competitive NHS Band 2/3 hourly rate\n✅ Shifts available across three Derbyshire locations\n✅ Supportive NHS working environment\n✅ Access to a variety of shift patterns (days, evenings, nights)\n✅ Opportunity to gain valuable NHS community experience\n✅ Weekly pay\nHow to apply\nIf you are interested and meet the criteria above, please apply now with your updated CV and state your preferred location (Buxton / Ilkeston / Staveley)
