You’ll lead your room’s daily routines and learning plans, ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Support Worker – SEN Setting Location: North London (N17) Pay: £101.40 – £115 per day Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm About the Role: We are working with a specialist SEN provision that supports children and young people with a range of complex medical, physical, and learning needs. Many of the pupils are non-verbal, require wheelchair assistance, and benefit from a structured, nurturing, and calm learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide consistent care, encouragement, and tailored learning support to pupils who thrive on routine and patience. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and communication difficulties, • Assist with feeding, wheelchair mobility, and personal care (training provided), • Encourage pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through structured activities, • Support teachers and therapists in delivering individual learning and sensory plans, • Promote independence, engagement, and confidence through positive reinforcement, • Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or SEN Teaching Assistant (school or residential experience welcome), • Understanding of complex SEN or PMLD needs, • Comfortable assisting with personal care and medical routines, • Calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning, • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply), • Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, term-time only)
