This role is for 80 hours spread over a 4 week rolling rota. You will be supporting a young male adult 1-1 in his own home and out in the community. There is no personal care in this role . It is companionship, managing medical appointments and supporting the individual in his day to day life to make positive decisions. You will be required to support with shopping and cleaning . The individual has Autism , adhd, dyspraxia, anxiety and Epilepsy. You must have experience of managing seizures and knowledge of Autism. You must be confident in setting boundaries, the individual is not physically challenging but boundaries are important so it is clear to the individual what is expected. The shifts are as follows: Day shift - 09.30-17.30 Night shift - 20.00-06.00 You must be able to work weekends and bank holidays with the rest of the team . The team consists of 4 personal assistants . Nights are not compulsory. Overtime will be available to cover holidays and sickness. You will be paid every 4 weeks via bacs and accrue holiday pay. It’s a great team to work in and a relaxed role . You must be ok with smoking as the client smokes in his home . One year minimum experience in care is required. You must be willing to provide an up to date DBS and two references . Driver preferred.

I am looking to appoint a PA support me to live in my own home and to access the community for social and practical reasons. Including some personal care Main Duties - Personal care: showering/washing, dressing, organisation of medication - Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, cooking/food prep, changing bed linens, laundry, washing up/dishwasher and light cleaning - Social duties: supporting me in attending medical appointments as well as going to the park or coffee shop Type of person I am looking for - Punctual, honest, non-smoker - Willingness to learn about my specific needs and routine - applicant due to the provision of personal care - Quiet, calm and able self manage Hours of work: 9.5 hours per week, spread over 6 days, split between the mornings and early evening/dinner time. We can work together to schedule the exact times of day you will visit in line with your availability Skills, qualifications and experience: - Experience and/or training in providing personal care (showering/washing and dressing).
