A day as an Early years Montessori practitioner at Little Seeds would include the following: Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently. Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily. Key worker responsibilities One on one and small group teaching using Montessori materials and method Preparing the environment. Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content. Observing, assessing and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress. Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements. Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these. Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children. What we would ask from you: A Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and/or Montessori Diploma is essential or experience in a Montessori environment and willingness to undertake a Montessori apprenticeship. Previous experience of working in a nursery setting with children under the age of 5 is essential. Previous experience of working in a Montessori setting is essential for a Montessori Teacher. A good knowledge of the current EYFS. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working. We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential. Expected start date from: 06/01/2025
