Senior Estimator - Position Overview\n\nOur client, a well-established Civil Engineering and Rail Construction company, is seeking to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team.\n\nWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting the tendering process across a range of infrastructure works.\n\nSenior Estimator - Position Remuneration\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\nCollaborative and supportive working environment \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and rail construction projects\nAnalyse drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine time, cost, materials, and labour requirements\nAssess project risks and opportunities and incorporate them into pricing strategies\nLiaise with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather key information\nObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations\nPrepare tender submissions, including Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pricing schedules\nMonitor and review costs throughout the tender stage\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing\nSupport value engineering and cost-saving initiatives\nEnsure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements \n\nSenior Estimator - Position Requirements\n\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field\nProven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering and/or rail infrastructure projects\nStrong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and cost structures\nProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite\nExcellent analytical and numerical skills\nStrong attention to detail and organisational abilities\nEffective communication and negotiation skills\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines \n\nStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex, operating across the United Kingdom.
