Mechanical Project Manager - Data Centre Location: Site Based, South East London & East London Sector: Data Centres / Critical Environments Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum (DOE) Role Overview The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for delivering multiple live projects, including business-as-usual and reactive works, to programme and commercial performance standards. The role involves collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and legal obligations, • Ensure environmental compliance across all project activities, • Deliver projects to programme, budget, and quality standards in line with client expectations, • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners, • Maintain and implement quality assurance and HSQE procedures throughout the project lifecycle, • Prepare site reports and ensure issues are addressed promptly, • Ensure programmes, RAMS, and documentation are current and implemented, • Ensure contract terms are understood and adhered to, • Maintain accurate site records in line with company and legislative requirements, • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, • Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities, • Identify and escalate risks or issues in a timely manner, • Maintain high site standards and ensure workforce competency, • Lead and participate in subcontractor meetings, including taking minutes, • Complete testing documentation and carry out site surveys for scope and costing Requirements • 3-5 years’ experience in Project Management, • Experience at Construction Manager or Project Engineer level, • Data Centre or critical environment experience, • Relevant mechanical qualifications, • SMSTS certification and CSCS Managers Card, • Strong knowledge of mechanical infrastructure, ideally Data Centre fit-out, • Experience working for customer-facing contractors, • Good understanding of health & safety, CDM, and environmental legislation, • Strong IT skills including planning software, SharePoint, and MS Office What’s on Offer • Salary of £75,000 - £85,000 per annum (DOE), • Pension scheme and life insurance, • Private healthcare and dental insurance, • Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) eligibility after 12 months, • Length of service rewards and Tradepoint discount scheme, • Project performance bonus and access to financial advice
