Caritas Recruitment is working in partnership with Bracknell Forest Borough Council to recruit an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker on a temporary basis within Adult Social Care - Safeguarding. Key Details Client: Bracknell Forest Borough Council Role: Social Worker - Adult Safeguarding Service Area: Adult Social Care - Safeguarding Location: Time Square, Bracknell Contract: Temporary Rate: £38ph Purpose of the Role The postholder will play a key role in delivering high‑quality adult safeguarding practice across community and hospital settings, undertaking complex safeguarding work and ensuring statutory duties under the Care Act 2014 are met to protect adults at risk. Key Responsibilities Safeguarding & Statutory Duties Lead and manage Adult Safeguarding enquiries, including Section 42 enquiries Ensure practice aligns with legislation, local policy, and Making Safeguarding Personal principles Chair and contribute to safeguarding meetings Provide professional decision-making and risk management Assessment & Care Planning Undertake comprehensive social care assessments Develop, implement and review care and support plans Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and CHC checklists Case Management & Partnership Working Manage a complex safeguarding caseload Maintain high-quality, timely case recording Work collaboratively with health services, hospitals and multi-agency partners Leadership & Contribution Support Team Managers and Operations Managers as required Promote high standards of safeguarding practice across the service Essential Criteria Qualified Social Worker Registered with Social Work England (SWE) Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available) Significant experience in Adult Safeguarding Enhanced DBS Full UK Driving Licence Must live close to Bracknell to support emergency travel when required Ways of Working Hybrid working model, operating across home, community and hospital settings Office-based 3-4 days per week (flexibility required to meet service needs)This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Adult Social Worker with strong safeguarding expertise to join a supportive local authority team on a well-established service.
