The company has recently undergone significant growth through multiple acquisitions and offers a stable, long-term environment where individuals can take real ownership of complex, high-impact data operations. About 60% of the job is hands-on data processing, 25% analysis, and a smaller share of client-facing work This is a key technical role within a small, highly specialist team, responsible for the end-to-end production, transformation and analysis of very large datasets used across critical national services. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving complex data processing challenges, ensuring data integrity at scale, and improving existing systems with modern tooling and engineering practices. This is not an IT support role — it is a position for someone deeply experienced in data engineering, processing, quality management, and analytics. ⭐ Why this role is exciting • You’ll work with some of the largest and most complex datasets in the UK, including national-scale address and change-of-address datasets., • You’ll take true ownership of production workflows and data pipelines that run every day, 24/7, supporting long-standing commercial partnerships., • You’ll become the expert on a mission-critical proprietary platform, with the freedom to help modernise and rebuild components using more current technologies., • You’ll join a business that has recently doubled in size through acquisitions, creating new opportunities for progression in the medium term., • High autonomy, family-like culture, and direct collaboration with leadership teams., • Strong job security: this work underpins long-term, stable client relationships. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Data Production & Processing (core of the role) • Own and operate large-scale data pipelines handling tens of millions of records., • Validate, cleanse, de-duplicate, transform and load raw datasets from multiple sources and formats., • Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and biannual data refreshes run flawlessly., • Perform analytical comparisons across large datasets to assess quality, identify discrepancies and generate scoring outputs., • Build derived/third-party datasets for benchmarking and analytical validation., • Produce clear, meaningful insights for internal teams and selected clients., • Contribute to ongoing cloud migration efforts across AWS and Azure hybrid environments., • Identify opportunities to automate repeatable processes and implement best-practice data governance., • Discuss data methodologies, results and recommendations with selected clients (with support from account managers)., • Work closely with the Head of Privacy, Research Manager and Account Manager., • Liaise with internal engineering or product teams as part of system evolution projects. 🧠 Technical Skills Required Essential • Strong experience with SQL Server and large-scale relational databases., • Proficiency in handling massive datasets (mapping, deduplication, extraction, transformation)., • Deep understanding of raw data structures: delimited files, fixed width, ASCII, hexadecimal, etc., • Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, advanced functions)., • Experience working with consumer or business datasets in a data-broker, analytics or data-processing environment., • Experience with MySQL, Access, or Server 2019., • Familiarity with SFTP / FTPS / HTTPS and secure transfer protocols., • Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments., • Knowledge of GDPR / ISO 27001 (training will be provided if required)., • Some development or scripting experience (extremely valuable for modernisation projects). 👤 Ideal Candidate Profile • Minimum 4–5 years working with large structured datasets, ideally in a data production or data engineering capacity., • At least 2 years in an environment requiring client-facing communication., • Comfortable taking ownership of critical production systems., • Curious, analytical mindset with a desire to improve existing processes., • Proactive communicator that keep all the stakeholders informed., • Thrives in a small team with high accountability and autonomy., • UK-based and eligible to work remotely full-time. 💰 Salary & Benefits • Up to £80,000 fixed salary DOE, • 100% remote working within the UK., • Stable, long-term client programmes offering strong job security., • Company culture described as supportive, close-knit, and people-focused despite rapid growth. 📅 Recruitment Process • 2-stage interview process, • Initial 30-minute discussion with leadership, • Second, more technical conversation (no tests or presentations required), • Interviews conducted by senior team members including the Head of Privacy and current job-holder.

• Organise and manage resources to carry out contracted works, ensuring that the works are completed safely, to the required quality, on time and within budget., • Support and manage a team of Traffic Managers on site, ensuring the delivery of the main principles of Safety with regards to road-space and traffic management., • Support and manage the workforce allocated to specific projects and ensure resources are allocated effectively., • Provide advice and instruction to team to deal rapidly and effectively with quality non-conformities and complaints., • Monitor the team to ensure that all work is conducted in strict compliance with established safety standards., • Attend major installations, modifications and removals where appropriate., • Ensure that we offer an exceptional service to our clients., • Ensure all relevant Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments in accordance with current legislative and contractual requirements., • Representing the Company at site-based progress meetings where appropriate, • Liaise with local authorities, project designer, clients, local stakeholders and delivery partners., • Undertake audits / inspections of our works ensuring compliance with contractual requirements., • Ensure all work within the contract under your control are carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations, while working to maximize the profitability of the contract and ensuring satisfaction of contractual requirements, • Ensure compliance with the client’s authorisation requirements and specifications, with the company standards of service and quality systems, • Control documentation, working closely with the back-office support team, • Ensure that the health and safety competence of sub-contract organisation and direct labour are assessed prior to commencing work, • Assess the risk associated with our operations and ensure that the correct site-specific method statements and risk assessments are compiled in advance of works, • Have a keen eye on the commercials of the contract, making sure we can deliver for our clients and maintain profitability, • Manage all resources e.g. labour, materials and plant, • Take pride in our delivery, and make repeat business a measure of success, • Demand safety and competence, including training requirements, and push for improvement in all teams, • Manage and motivate a team, delegating where appropriate, but leading by example, • Have an ordered approach to the development of the people in your area, • Drive and lead client engagement in the pursuit to support the Business’ Growth plans, • Lantra 12A, B, C and D, • Preferably Lantra LTMO or TSCO, • Experience in reading and relaying information on TM Drawings, • Auditing experience or training qualifications an advantage, • Full clean driving license We offer a competitive salary based on experience along with a full benefits package.
