You'll be joining a practice where colleagues are trusted, respected and encouraged to learn, develop and thrive as part of a collaborative team. \n As part of Kin Vet Community, a small collective of like-minded community veterinary practices, we benefit from the support, shared expertise and collaborative approach that comes from working alongside teams who share our commitment to exceptional veterinary care. \n Whilst every practice retains its own culture, leadership and way of working, being part of Kin Vet creates greater opportunities to learn from one another, invest in our people and facilities, and continue evolving the services we provide to pets and their owners. \n \n The Opportunity \n This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and experienced clinical team, working across Willett House Staines Veterinary Hospital and our surrounding branch practices. \n You’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: the variety and continuity of first-opinion practice, alongside the advanced facilities and clinical support of a hospital environment. \n The role is split approximately: \n\n • 2 days at Staines Veterinary Hospital\n, • 2 days across our branch practices\n\n You’ll manage a varied small animal caseload, including consultations, surgery, diagnostics and inpatient care, with excellent support from experienced clinicians and certificate holders across multiple disciplines. \n This is a clinical role with no management responsibilities, ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to continue developing their skills, work with clinical autonomy and have access to exceptional equipment and support. \n \n About Willett House Staines Veterinary Hospital \n Staines Veterinary Hospital is a central hub supporting several surrounding branch practices. We provide high-quality first-opinion care while offering access to advanced diagnostics and procedures usually associated with referral-level facilities. \n Our experienced team includes certificate holders and clinicians with interests in: \n\n • Surgery\n, • Cardiology\n, • Diagnostic Imaging\n, • Internal Medicine\n, • Ophthalmology\n, • Anaesthesia\n\n \n Our facilities include: \n\n • CT scanner\n, • Digital X-ray\n, • Ultrasound\n, • Advanced surgical theatres\n, • Hospital facilities for more complex procedures\n, • Operating facilities across many branch practices\n\n \n You’ll have the opportunity to work up interesting cases, utilise advanced diagnostics and develop your clinical skills while maintaining the rewarding client relationships that come with first-opinion practice. \n \n Your Day-to-Day \n Your role will include: \n\n • Providing high-quality first-opinion consultations\n, • Managing medical work-ups and diagnostics\n, • Performing routine soft tissue surgery\n, • Supporting inpatient care and case management\n, • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital and branch practices\n, • Taking part in daily clinical discussions and case reviews\n, • Providing continuity of care for clients and their pets\n\n \n Typical working days include: \n Morning \n\n • Consultations (8:30am–11:00am)\n\n Late morning & afternoon \n\n • Procedures, surgery and diagnostics\n\n Afternoon \n\n • Consultations (4:00pm–6:30pm)\n\n Late shifts include inpatient rounds and handover to our out-of-hours provider. \n \n About You \n We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and enjoys working within a supportive clinical environment. \n Ideally, you will have: \n\n • 1+ years’ post-graduate experience\n, • Confidence managing first-opinion consultations\n, • Experience with routine soft tissue surgery\n, • A desire to continue learning and developing clinically\n, • A friendly, approachable personality\n, • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset\n\n Certificate holders are welcomed, but a certificate is not essential.
