About the Job As a Level 2 Swimming Teacher, you’ll prepare and deliver high‑quality swimming lessons for children and adults using the Swim England Framework. From baby lessons to competitive pathways (Stages 8–10), you’ll guide swimmers of all levels to reach their goals—and have fun doing it! You’ll have the potential to work across all five of our welcoming sites in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting one of the biggest and most successful swimming programmes in the region. Key Responsibilities Deliver dynamic, engaging, and safe lessons following Swim England guidance Create lesson plans and update weekly pupil assessments Take class registers and ensure all GDPR processes are followed Set up and manage equipment throughout each session Model Swim England Codes of Ethics & Conduct Support safeguarding procedures & escalate concerns appropriately Mentor Level 1 Assistant Teachers when required Jump into the water when sessions need in‑water supportExperience and Qualifications Required SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, or STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming qualification Experience of working in a comparable role. Experience of delivering first class customer service to a diverse client base. Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and procedure, and the ability to exercise these in the workplace. Excellent communication skills, including listening, questioning, and delivering effective feedback, and the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers, children, their parent, and school officials.
